This is a Greek word that stands for a love that is given because of need, not because of what is
returned. agape is love that never ends, a love that transcends all love. I Corinthians 13 tells us:
Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not
act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account wrong
suffering, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, (love) bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER FAILS.
